^{The 'Institute of Snow Research' is an attempt to enliven snow through exploring its vivid qualities. The imaginary Institute uses the aesthetics of scientific research to explore the agencies of the seemingly inanimate substance to reveal its relationship to us and vice versa. In four experiments, the project approaches the question of how we can empathize with what is widely understood as 'nonliving'.}
